Descriptive Representation

Overview: These papers explore the dynamics of descriptive representation: How representative are political bodies relative to what we would expect based on purely stochastic factors? How do compositional factors related to the size and distribution of social groups affect the faithfulness of institutions in representing citizens? How do institutional dynamics influence descriptive representation globally?
